100 Club Games – Will Emerson

Ivanhoe AFC congratulates Will Emerson on his 100th club game last Saturday (June 19) against Powerhouse.

Emmo has been with the club since 2012. He played in both the 2014 Under 19 (North) premiership team and was a star forward pocket in the Hoers’ 2015 D2 reserves premiership. Both teams were coached by his dad Bill.

It speaks volumes of Emmo’s determination that he persisted in the reserves in 2016 and early 2018 when injuries took their toll. It wasn’t until Round 1 2019 that he played his first senior game. What Emmo lacks in stature, he more than makes up for with gut-busting running, crafty crumbing, a ton of courage and great team spirit.

Well done Emmo. We look forward to many more games in the black and white.
